Gulls make it two from two with win over Dolphins

Williamstown has won it's second straight game with a 72-point win over Frankston on Sunday afternoon.

The Seagulls led from start to finish in a scrappy affair at Skybus Stadium.

Nick Rodda led the way with five goals while Sam Dunell and Joel Ottavi each had three of their own.

Ben Kennedy was outstanding in his second game for his new team kicking two goals to go along with 22 disposals.

In a special moment, Christian Buykx-Smith in his return game for a life-threatening illness kicked a terrific left foot goal on the run with all his teammates getting around him.

Jason Pongracic and Josh Pickess were both great in their returns to Frankston with Pongacic kicking two goals while Pickess kicked one goal of his own.

Mitch Hibberd, Willie Wheeler and Adam Marcon were all immense in the midfield setting up numerous forays forward, while Kal Dawson, Leigh Masters and Joel Tippett kept Frankston's big men quiet.

The Seagulls will play Sandringham next Sunday at Trevor Barker Oval.

Williamstown: 18.9.117
Frankston: 6.9.45

GOALS:
Rodda 5, Ottavi, Dunell 3, Kennedy, Pongracic 2, Buykx-Smith, Pickess, Wheeler 1
