Round 8 VFL squad named

Williamstown has announced its extended squad for Sunday afternoon's VFL clash against the Casey Demons.

Oliver Tate will make his first appearance for the season following shoulder surgery during the pre-season.

Tate made a return to play two weeks ago via Leopold in the Geelong league as part of his return to the VFL lineup.

Key forward Nick Rodda, Sam Martyn, Nick Buykx and Christian Buykx-Smith are in line for a VFL recall to replace Sam Dunell (susp), Mitch Norton (inj), Josh Minogue (omit) and Nick Sing (omit).

Meanwhile, Liam Carter and Jesse Tardio are pushing for selection following representative duties on the weekend.

Bailey Morrish is also pushing for selection following his impressive performance for Rowville.

Currently sitting in fifth place, a win should see the Seagulls return into the top four this weekend.

The match starts at 2pm and will follow the VFLW match taking place between the same clubs.
