Preliminary final confirmed

Williamstown's 10th preliminary final in a row has been confirmed for next Sunday, September 15, with a start time of 2:10pm at Adcon Stadium (Port Melbourne).

The Seagulls will meet Essendon as a result of their three-point, first semi-final win over Werribee.

Williamstown earned a week off after defeating Footscray in the qualifying final in week one of the VFL finals series.

After the weekend's second semi-final result, Richmond will face Port Melbourne in the opposing preliminary final on the Saturday.

The Seagulls have faced Essendon once this year - a hard-fought 18-point win in Round 17.

Pre-sale tickets will be available for all finals matches, to help avoid any possible queues on game day.

All lead-up finals will be at 2018 prices, with adults $15, concession/pensioners $10 and kids under 15 free and will be on sale at midday each Monday at vfl.com.au/finals.

Williamstown's preliminary final will be broadcast live on Channel 7.
