Seagulls supporting bushfire relief

Williamstown Football Club has joined forces with the AFL and our fellow VFL standalone clubs Coburg, Frankston, Port Melbourne and Werribee to raise some much-needed funds to help the bushfire-affected communities get back on their feet.

The AFL has established a Community Relief Fund with the Red Cross that will directly assist local football clubs and residents in affected areas to get back on their feet.

This fund will be used to repair and rebuild club rooms, assist with grounds that have been damaged - as most have been used for community evacuation points - and help the families who have been affected stay involved in footy so they don’t feel isolated.

Williamstown CEO Jason Reddick stated: “As standalone clubs, we fully understand the important role of a sporting club to bind, strengthen and motivate a community, so there is a great synergy in our state league clubs fundraising to help re-establish the community football clubs in the bushfire-affected areas.

“I urge everyone associated with our Club and the wider VFL and VFLW community to make a contribution to this important fund.”
