Seagulls welcome back Kane Lambert

The President’s Luncheon before the Williamstown versus Richmond game on Sunday featured a very special guest in former Williamstown Seagull and current Richmond Premiership star Kane Lambert.

Lambert discussed his career progression from Northern Knights in the U18 TAC Cup, through to the VFL with Northern Blues, then on to a memorable year at Williamstown, which included his match winning display against Werribee in the semi final of 2014. Lambert talked of how much the club and teammates meant to him and of his lifelong connection with current Seagull Captain Adam Marcon.

Lambert reminisced about the special 2017 season in which he finished third in the Tigers best & fairest, culminating in the historical premiership win against the Crows. He then regaled the funny story of the Sunday after the AFL Grand Final when he featured in Adam Marcon’s wedding party having celebrated long and hard the prior night.

Our next President Lunch event will be this Sunday, 17th June, as we take on Sandringham, VFL coach Andrew Collins will be our guest speaker for the event with the Channel 7 VFL commentary team featuring Campbell Brown, Jason Bennett and Nigel Carmody. Bookings can be made up until 5pm Thursday.

Our Women’s Lunch will also be held this Sunday 17th of June featuring Australian Netball (Diamonds) coach Lisa Alexander, along with clairvoyant Claire Hill and ‘Midnight Mum’ blogger Bridget Jarrad.
