Meade was one of the shining lights this year in our inaugural women’s side, taking out the Judy Jeremiah Award for the most improved player. Meade solidified her spot in defence at the beginning of the year, and alongside Jacinta Reid and Belinda Hateley, became a key component of the side's defence. Meade’s ability to play one on one and win the contest also allowed her to play through the midfield in a defensive role at times. Meade played in the AFL Victoria Young Guns match at the end of the season and will continue to improve on the back of her first VFLW season.
