Dixon, Henderson push for selection in Community Wrap

Photo thanks to Cranbourne

The VFLW had a league BYE, but 2 of our players played for their respective community clubs.

In the Division 1 of the South Eastern Women’s League, Shani Dixon kicked 1 goal for Cranbourne in their 31 point win over Chirnside Park. In Division 2, Erin Meade was best on ground for Edithvale-Aspendale, however she could not prevent her side from defeat, as the Eastern Devils won by 26 points.

While many of our players enjoyed the week off thanks to the bye, 3 of our boys still featured for their community clubs

In the country leagues, Darby Henderson was named among Echuca’s best, however he could not prevent his side from going down to Shepparton Bears, eventually losing by 57 points. Nick Richards worked hard all day as his Wangaratta Magpies comprehensively defeated local rivals Wangaratta Rovers with a strong 4 quarter performance.

In the Geelong League, Tom Cleary returned after a month’s lay off and was a solid contributor as his Grovedale side defeated North Shore by 3 points in a thrilling contest.
