Hope returns to bolster VFLW attack

Williamstown will be bolstered by the return of star recruit Moana Hope for this week's VFLW clash against fellow stand-alone club Darebin.

Hope was unavailable for last week's loss against Richmond but has been named at centre-half forward as the Seagulls aim to take down the Falcons in a battle of the birds at Downer Oval.

Kayla Koropeckyj is also in line to play her first match since Round 3 after stringing together solid performances for local club Spotswood.

Annabelle Shannon, Emma Inglis and Emily Gardner have also been named in the squad for Kaitlin Smith, Kaitlyn Carew and Elizabeth McGrath, while co-captain Jacinta Reid remains on the sidelines as she recovers from concussion.

Round 13 debutant Zoe Hardiman retains her spot in the side.

The Seagulls will look to make amends for their Round 7 loss against the Falcons at Bill Lawry Oval.

A sole goal to Tahlia Merrett in tough conditions handed Williamstown the early lead in that contest, before being overrun by a desperate Darebin outfit who was in search of its first win of the season.

The Seagulls were competitive in last week's loss against the Tigers and will look to emulate their fourth-quarter effort - outscoring the home side - into this Saturday's game which kicks off at 11:30am.

It will be the first of a double-header with the VFL side taking on Coburg immediately after at 2:00pm.

A reminder that Kids Superhero Day has been postponed to August 24.
