Round 21 VFL squad selection
Williamstown's side to host arch rival Werribee in the final home-and-away game of the season has been selected.
The Round 21 contest set for Downer Oval could prove to be the final match on the turf this season, however a win will keep Williamstown's dream of hosting a home final against Footscray in the first week of the finals alive.
Defender Leigh Masters returns from a hip injury which sidelined him during last round's gutsy win over Geelong at Avalon Airport Oval.
Jason Pongracic has been named in the centre whilst Sam Martyn, Jack Dorgan, Mitch Norton and Nick Buykx are also in line for a return.
Cooper Stephens will play his first match since May having played a standout game for Colac last week at community level.
The Seagulls will be without Nick Mellington and Jake Greiser. Jesse Tardio also misses out following his third game for the club.
Williamstown will be aiming for its eighth win on the trot if it can topple finals-bound Werribee.
The Tigers have won their last four matches and will be desperate to carry some momentum into their first finals campaign as a stand-alone club in 20 years.
It will be the second time the two sides have met in 2019, with the Seagulls victorious in an eight-point thriller back in Round 12.
Dorgan made his return from a fourth knee reconstruction that day, while Mitch Hibberd was impressive with 29 disposals and eight tackles.
With AFL turf consultants deeming the surface fit for this weekend - after it shifted last week's home game to Werribee - the club is also set for its Kids Superhero Night.
So come along, wear your masks and capes and enjoy what could be our final home match at Downer Oval this season.
