Meade & Wallace Re-Sign for 2019

Williamstown Football Club can announce the VFLW re-signings of Erin Meade and Nikki Wallace.

Meade was one of the shining lights this year in our inaugural women’s side, taking out the Judy Jeremiah Award for the most improved player. Meade solidified her spot in defence at the beginning of the year, and alongside Jacinta Reid and Belinda Hateley, became a key component of the side's defence.

Meade’s ability to play one on one and win the contest also allowed her to play through the midfield in a defensive role at times. Meade played in the AFL Victoria Young Guns match at the end of the season and will continue to improve on the back of her first VFLW season.

A former Brisbane Lion, Wallace was an important part of our inaugural season with her tireless work ethic and skills by foot a key element to the side in its first season of the VFLW. The 24-year-old averaged 3 tackles per match with her contested ball work a feature of her game.
