Newman, Melnikas, Smith in for final practice game

Williamstown have announced its squad for the final VFLW practice match this weekend against the GWS Giants at Downer Oval.

Star recruit Aliesha Newman will play her first game in Seagulls colours while Ashlea Melnikas and Kaitlin Smith will play their first games of the pre-season.

This will be the first of five invitational games the Giants will play this season in what will be a fantastic test for our young squad before our first game of the season next week.

Entry will be free for the day and with the match being part of a tripleheader with NAB League matches being played between Western Jets and Dandenong Stingrays Youth Girls and Boys in the afternoon.

Start times are;
11.20am Williamstown v GWS Giants
1.30pm Western Jets v Dandenong Stingrays NAB League Youth Girls
3.15pm Western Jets v Dandenong Stingrays NAB League Boys
