Seagulls standout in this weeks Community Wrap Up

We had a number of standout performances over the weekend, while two of our boys went head-to-head as we take a look at community club action over the weekend.

n VAFA Premier B action, Lachlan Knight was a solid contributor as his University Blacks defeated Caulfield Grammarians by 14 points, whilst Nick Ebinger was named second best after his 5 goals led the way for Williamstown CYMS to thump St Marys Salesian.

In the WRFL Mitch Norton was voted amongst the best as his Altona continued their unbeaten start to the season, winning their 5th match in a row to defeat St Albans by 22 points.

Fletcher Carroll gathered 26 disposals to be voted among the best in Heidelberg’s narrow 13 point defeat to Hurstbridge, whilst Corey Sleep kicked a goal as Lower Plenty defeated Epping by 49 points in the Northern League.

Meanwhile, Jason Pongracic kicked a goal as South Croydon defeated Montrose by 75 points in the EFL, and Jayden Ranno worked all day as Pascoe Vale lead all day to defeat Ranno’s Greenvale by 33 points.

In the Ballarat League we had 2 of our boys go head-to-head, as Lachlan Bramble’s Sunbury faced Liam Carter’s Melton. In a tight, low scoring contest, it would be Lachlan Bramble with the bragging rights as Sunbury got home by 8 points in slippery conditions on Saturday night.

In Geelong League action Jordan Jones was voted in the best for Newtown & Chilwell in their loss to South Barwon by 19 points, whilst Cooper Stephens played his role in Colac’s thrilling 3 point win over Bell Park.

In the Yarra Valley Ryley Monkhorst backed up his best on ground performance from last week with another mention in the best this week, as his Woori Yallock defeated Emerald by 43 points, whilst Darby Henderson worked tirelessly but for the second time in three weeks inaccuracy cost Echuca a win.
