Hateley and Harris Bring More Star Power

Williamstown Football Club is thrilled to announce the signings of Belinda Hateley and Georgia Harris to our VFLW Seagulls.

Hateley, is from Deer Park where she was apart of the Premiership winning team in 2016 along with other Seagulls Emily Paterno, Caitlyn Balshaw and Chloe Portelli..

Hateley played a huge part in the ruck to help bring home the win for Deer Park and will look to do the same for the Seagulls next season.

Harris, 30, comes from the St Kilda Sharks and has played over 100 games for the Sharks including a premiership in 2014. After the Sharks folded last season Harris says she jumped at the opportunity to play for the Seagulls.

"I'm really excited to be a part of the first Williamstown women's VFL side." Harris said.

"I loved playing for the Sharks and it was sad to have the club fold from the VFL league."

However I know Williamstown is a great club and the women's side will carry that great community atmosphere into the VFL competition."

"I'm hoping to bring my football experience to the Williamstown side whilst continuing to develop myself as a person on and off the field."

"I turned 30 this year and although that seems old in "football years" I plan on working hard and proving that my best football years are still ahead of me."
