Greiser & Dorgan re-sign for 2019

Williamstown Football Club can announce the re-signing of Jake Greiser and Jack Dorgan ahead of the 2019 season. Grieser had a terrific 2018 season finishing in the club’s Top 10 Best & Fairest count after an interrupted 2017 season.
A member of the leadership group for the first time, Grieser along with Jack Charleston & Braydon Monk, set up many offensive plays throughout the season whilst also playing his role within the defensive unit.
Having played his 50th game against Richmond in the Qualifying Final, Gresier has established himself as a key senior player.
Dorgan was the hard luck story of 2018 having ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee for a second time.
A much-loved character within the playing group, Dorgan’s approach to his rehabilitation has been second-to-none which will likely see him back in the early to mid-part of the season. The left footer was sorely missed in remaining rounds of the season and the Seagulls finals campaign, it will be a welcome sight for Seagulls to see him back out on the field when he does return.
“Jake’s ongoing development as a senior player has been great to watch and he has also been doing some great mentoring work with our developing players from a strength and conditioning perspective in the background also.
We couldn’t fault Jack in his rehabilitation approach and he has made great progress over the last couple of months.
It is a credit to him on the mental resilience he has shown through this period and we look forward to him being back out there once he’s ready to go” said GM-Football Stephen Soulsby.
