Inspirational Leader Signs On

Inspirational leader Ben Jolley will take to the field for an 11th straight season in the blue and gold, after recently re-signing with the Seagulls.

The 31-year old has been one of the VFL's greatest players over a long period of time, and is set to topple even more milestones after a 2017 season that saw him notch up 250 VFL games and 200 games for the Seagulls.

The four-time Gerry Callahan Medallist requires eight more games to become the Club's all-time games record holder, which is currently held by Troy West on 208 games. He also sits eighth on the all-time VFL games played list. Once again a recipient of the Ron James Memorial Trophy which is voted on by the playing group, Jolley continues to be a revered figure at the Club and highly respected around the league in general. As durable as ever, Jolley played 18 of a possible 20 games in 2017 showing that he still has plenty left in the tank for another big season ahead.
