Pickess, Bramble set to make Seagulls senior debuts
Two of Williamstown's 2017 recruits will make their senior debuts for the club on Sunday for a home clash against North Ballarat at Burbank Oval.
Ex-Frankston Dolphin Josh Pickess will continue his rapid rise since recovering from a long layoff with injury, being named to play his first senior game with the club.
After pre-season ankle surgery de-railed his start to the season, Pickess has made a successful return to the field via the Development League over the past two weeks, showing promising signs that he could be one to watch in the second half of the season.
Making his VFL debut also on Sunday will be ex-Calder Cannon, Lachlan Bramble, who has been rewarded for some outstanding play in the Development League over the past month.
A smooth mover and great ball user, Bramble will replace Nick Ebinger as 23rd man after Ebinger played his third game of the year in that position last week.
Also coming back into the side is speedster Mitch Norton, while Billy Myers, Tristan Davies, Jason Pongracic and Corey Yeo all come into the extended squad.
Out of the side comes Brett Bewley, Kyle Gray, Bailey Morrish and Nick Ebinger, with the latter two being named in the Development squad.
The Development team will be bolstered by a number of key inclusions, including Ed Carr, Nick Sing and Jackson Gray, along with the aforementioned Gray and Ebinger. Nick Richards, Isaac Wallace, Luke Goetz and Max Philpot have also been named to the extended interchange bench.
Jacob Chisari and Jayden Burke will come out of the side due to a concussion suffered last week.
The Development team will kick off at 11.00am once again against Sandringham, followed by the senior clash against North Ballarat at 2.00pm.
