Seagulls announce VFLW Coaching Staff.

Williamstown Football Club is excited to announce our coaching staff for our inaugural VFLW season in 2018.
As previously known Amy Catterall has been named as Head Coach with Brett Connors, Melissa Ashman and Jason Quinn supporting her as line coaches. While Matt Embling has also been appointed as Female Football Coordinator.
Connors, a former Williamstown player in 2003, will be the Club’s Midfield Coach, a role he held at the Eastern Devils during their 2017 VFLW season. Brett has also held roles with the Canadian Women’s International Cup team during their last 2 trips to Australia and has previously held the role as Westbourne Grammarians Senior Coach in 2009/10. Connors played over 300 senior matches in country Victoria.
Ashman will be the Seagulls Forwards Coach and has played over 200 games of senior VWFL matches with VU Western Spurs, St. Kilda Sharks and Port Melbourne Colts. Ashman held the role as Forwards Coach with Coburg’s VFL Development League side in 2017.
Jason Quinn will be the sides Defensive Coach who has a teaching background along with having played local football for a number of years.
Matt Embling has been appointed as the Female Football Coordinator and brings a wealth of football experience being in the industry for over 14 years. Matt has recently been with Collingwood’s AFLW side has Opposition Coach and previously held various roles with Sandringham VFL and with VAFA Club’s Old Trinity Grammarians and Glen Eira.
The Club is excited with the appointments made for our inaugural season in the VFLW.
