Former Lion Joins Seagulls

The Williamstown Football Club is thrilled to announce the signing of Tom Cleary for the next two seasons.

Cleary, 25, comes played at Coburg in 2017 where he played 13 games for the Lions and was named in the best on three occasions..

Before playing at Coburg Cleary played for Glenorchy in the TSL in Tasmania while there he was named at Fullback in the State League’s team of the year in 2015 and 2016, and would also represent the state side in the latter year- being named one of the best players in the heavy loss to Western Australia..

Cleary says he can't wait to get started at his new club. .

"As a lot of people know it's a destination club. It has been an awesome feeling being around such a successful culture and club. Being in an elite environment brings the best out of all involved and that's the most exciting part.

"In 2018 my main goal is to play consistent high quality league football. I aim to evolve as a player from being a good solid league player to a crutial part of the team heading into the 2018 season."
