Maddison James Joins the Blue & Gold

Williamstown Football Club is delighted to announce Maddison James as our latest VFLW signing.

Despite being just 19-years of age, James already has four-years of football under her belt, accompanied with plenty of representative football along the way.

“I’ve been lucky enough to be a member of Ballarat inter-league sides, Subway Shield competitions and recently playing in the 2017 and now 2018 team at TAC Western Jets.

“I have been playing football for four-years now, starting when I was 14-years-old, it feels so amazing to sign for Williamstown’s first ever team, I can’t describe how honoured I am,” James said.

Speaking on her goals for this year, James has set her eyes on not only further developing her game but also representing the blue and gold.

“This year I am hoping to achieve big things.

“I obviously want to run out on the field wearing blue and gold, but most importantly, I want to learn from the coaches and players and discover different ways I can improve my game.”
