Wheeler achieves Life Membership

 

Willie Wheeler will achieve life membership with Williamstown this weekend when he plays his 100th game for the club against Richmond.

The 2016 Gerry Callahan medallist has had an outstanding career for the Seagulls since crossing over from Coburg in 2012 and has become a significant cultural leader within the Club with his selection as Deputy Vice-Captain in 2017 and now Vice-Captain in 2018 a reflection of his influence within the playing group.

Wheeler backed up his 2016 performance with an impressing 2017, finishing sixth in the JJ Liston Trophy and finished runner-up in the Gerry Callahan Medal.

He was also named to his second consecutive VFL Team of the Year.

Wheeler will join his Uncle Terry as a Life Member of the Club.
