As most leagues head towards their penultimate round, we had 11 boys play for their community clubs as they search for important wins heading into finals; let’s see how they went.

Starting in the NFNL where Josh Minogue kicked a goal and was fifth best, and Christian Buykx-Smith was solid for the second-placed Heidelberg, as they went down to top placed Greensborough by 34 points.

In the VAFA, Kal Dawson was best-on-ground for Williamstown CYMS as they defeated Old Ivanhoe by 53 points to remain undefeated with two rounds remaining.

To the EDFL where Stefan Radovanovic helped Keilor to a comfortable 87-point win over Greenvale to also remain undefeated with two rounds remaining whilst Hisham Kerbatieh put in a strong performance for Avondale Heights as they went down to Pascoe Vale by five points in a thriller. In the WRFL, Nick Buykx kicked four goals and was sixth best for Werribee Districts as they defeated Caroline Springs by 107 points to secure their spot in the finals with one round remaining.

To country leagues where the Geelong league saw Cooper Stephens third best for Colac, as they defeated St Joseph by two points to go top of the table with one round remaining whilst in the reserves, Sam Conway continued his recent form for St Marys with another best-on-ground performance as they defeated Grovedale by 74 points.
