Williamstown announce new president

Williamstown Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Clint Rippon as Club President.

The Williamstown local and past player becomes the 46th President of the Club in its 156th year after being elected unopposed by the board at the recent February board meeting.

Clint succeeds Michael Howlett, who will remain on the board as joint Vice President.

Clint is an executive director at JBWere with over 15 years' investment management experience specialising in providing governance, investment and philanthropic advice and services to For Purpose organisations.

A passionate local, Clint understands that the Williamstown Football Club is a community asset, and he is committed to working with all of the Club's key stakeholders for the benefit of the local community and the continued success of the Club's VFL and VFLW footballing programs.

Clint played 81 games for the Seagulls between 2000 and 2004.

"Having been a local resident for over 25 years, a past player and serving on the board for the past two years, I am honoured and humbled to accept the role," Clint said.

"I would also like to thank Michael Howlett for his outstanding service and leadership as the outgoing President, and I'm equally pleased to announce that he will be remaining on the board as a joint Vice President with Merryl Dooley.

"Williamstown Football Club prides itself on inclusiveness and I'd like to encourage the entire community to get involved by attending our matches, investing in a membership or becoming a corporate partner, and feel a part of our great Club."
