Blockbuster Fixture for Seagulls

Williamstown Football Club members were delivered an early Christmas present today with the release of the 2018 VFL fixture by AFL Victoria.

Williamstown will host a record 10 home games during the season, with blockbuster games scheduled against many of the big AFL club drawcards..

The Seagulls open the season on Sunday April 8th with a big match against our 2015 grand final opponent the Box Hill Hawks..

Further blockbuster home games are fixtured against Essendon, Richmond, Collingwood, Footscray and traditional rivals and 2017 Premiers Port Melbourne

There will be three byes next season coming in round 7, 12 and 17..

CEO Jason Reddick said “We are really pleased that the 2018 VFL fixture delivers our members such great value, with 10 home games and plenty of blockbuster matches against AFL Clubs where we can expect bumper crowds.

Our travelling members will also enjoy the fact that we have no away games fixtured at night.”."

"In scheduling their VFL coverage for first half of the season, Channel 7 have selected two of our home games for broadcast: Richmond in Rd 10 and Sandringham (aligned to St.Kilda) in Rd 11. Those telecasts are terrific for our ‘Towner’ members and fans who can’t get to the ground, as well as delivering enormous brand exposure for all our Corporate Partners."

"We are very happy to host our aligned U18 TAC club, the Western Jets for a double header match day in May and we look forward to the release of the VFLW fixture (due out before Christmas) to see what double headers we will have with our inaugural Women’s team."

"There’s certainly lots of match day action for Seagull members to get excited about in 2018.”"
