The Long Road for Minogue's debut   

Into his fourth season at the Club, Josh Minogue will make his VFL debut against Coburg tomorrow.

Minogue joined the Seagulls at the end of the 2015 season, having relocated from Albury following his TAC Cup days with the Murray Bushrangers.

A State Combine invitee in 2015, Minogue missed out on the AFL Draft, shifting his mind to State League footy with his first two seasons spent in the Development League.

Alongside his current studies in a Masters of Engineering at Melbourne Uni, Minogue missed much of the 2018 season due to a broken collarbone. As such a full pre-season commenced in August last year, allowing him to take his fitness levels to another level over the summer.

Minogue showed impressive form in the early practice matches but has been forced to bide his time at Heidelberg for the first part of the 2019 season.

“To get the opportunity after a long period at the Club is something I have been working very hard for. 2018 was quite frustrating with the shoulder but through the rehab, our staff were great in ensuring I was able to do a full pre-season leading into this season," Minogue said.

“There are a few boys who joined at the same time as me still here and to see them already have the opportunity at senior level really drove me. The coaches, support staff and my family have provided great support and I am looking forward to making the most of the opportunity tomorrow."
