Jets Youth Girls sign with Seagulls VFLW

Williamstown Football Club has signed two more players to its inaugural VFLW team, in ex-Western Jets Youth Girls, Kayla Koropeckyj and Emma Ludolff. Koropeckyj, 18, was a part of the inaugural Western Jets Youth Girls team in 2017, and has also been playing youth girls football with Wyndamvale in the Western Youth Girls League for the past three seasons.
In 41 games over the course of the past three seasons, Koropeckyj has booted 76 goals and was named to her side's best players on 17 of those occasions. She has also represented Victoria at Under 16 level and other interleague sides throughout her junior football. Ludolff, also 18 and a member of the Western Jets Youth Girls team, played her junior football with Caroline Springs in 2017, kicking 9 goals in her 13 games while being named among the best players in four of those outings. The Point Cook native has played most of her junior football on the wing.
"Western Jets are delighted that Kayla and Emma will be playing with the Williamstown VFLW team in 2018," said Western Jets Talent Manager, Shane Sexton.
"We see this as a really positive alignment that allows our players to progress through the talent pathway and into the VFLW competition."
Williamstown GM of Football Stephen Soulsby concurs.
"It's great to see two young girls develop through Clubs in the western suburbs and then on to the Jets talent pathway, and we're looking forward to seeing them play within the VFLW competition next year" said Soulsby.
"As part of our playing list we have the opportunity to provide five playing spots to players within the TAC Cup system, and we'll continue to identify players within the talent pathway to give them a VFLW opportunity in 2018."
