Vale - Stan Bamford

The Williamstown Football Club is saddened to hear of the passing of life member and former trainer, Stan Bamford.

Stan was a much loved trainer at the club, starting in 1951 and continuing on right through until the 1960's era, which led to him being awarded life membership for his outstanding service to the club.

Bamford was a cousin of Williamstown legend Ray Smith and also served in the Air Force during World War II.

Players will wear black armbands as a mark of respect to Stan in Sunday's clash against Coburg.

Our condolences are extended to his family and friends at this time.
