Williamstown Football Club is proud to celebrate a special milestone with principal partner DSV: Global Transport and Logistics – 5 years of partnership that has played a vital role in the club’s growth, community engagement, and on-field success.

DSV is a leading global transport and logistics company, providing supply chain solutions across road, air, sea, and warehousing. With a presence in over 80 countries, DSV delivers efficient and innovative logistics services, helping businesses move goods seamlessly worldwide.

Since joining forces in 2020, DSV has provided significant support to the Williamstown Football Club across multiple levels.

The partnership is most notably reflected in DSV’s stadium naming rights from 2022, with the iconic DSV Stadium serving as the club’s home ground.

DSV branding is also featured on both official match day and non-match day apparel, various digital media activations and community activities.

The partnership has proven resilient through challenges such as the COVID-impacted 2020 and 2021 seasons, demonstrating unwavering commitment to the development and success of Williamstown’s VFL and VFLW programs.

DSV’s support has been particularly instrumental in elevating the women’s program, establishing them as a top-tier competitor within the league – a status reinforced by their achievement as minor premiers in the 2024 season.

DSV has also provided employment opportunities for Williamstown players, helping them gain valuable professional experience outside of football.

Over the last 5 years, DSV’s commitment to WFC has extended to various opportunities for the DSV and Williamstown community.

Last season, the club hosted a DSV Family Round, where DSV staff and their families enjoyed lunch with WFC members and participated in games led by Seagull mascot Speccie. The round also featured a halftime DSV vs. Williamstown staff match.

DSV has also been actively involved in the club’s annual corporate Golf Day, networking with other Williamstown businesses while showing their support for the club.

Additionally, Williamstown’s Senior VFL Coach Justin Plapp ran a DSV Staff Leadership Presentation and Handball Clinic at DSV’s offices in Melbourne Airport, creating an alignment between their professional development and our sport.

As the partnership enters its next phase, both Williamstown Football Club and DSV remain committed to supporting the Williamstown community and the VFL/W landscape.

“Williamstown Football Club is proud to extend our partnership with DSV into 2025, marking an incredible five-year milestone together. DSV’s continued commitment to both our club and the broader community has been invaluable, and we are grateful for their ongoing support,” said WFC Head of Partnership and Commercial, Luke Attard.

“Their dedication goes beyond football, helping to drive positive change and create meaningful opportunities for those in our community. We look forward to another great year working together and strengthening our partnership even further.”

DSV Commercial Business Director, Matt Baker also highlighted the strength and impact of the partnership over the years during Williamstown’s recent visit to the DSV Melbourne location.

“As we move into the 5th year of our partnership with WFC, it’s with a great sense of pride that we recognise the value this partnership has produced for our business, the club, and the local community. Partnering with a team that share our values as an organisation has supported our efforts of driving a higher level of brand awareness not only externally but internally, of who DSV are and what we stand and strive for as leaders in the Freight and Logistics industry,” said Baker.

“We look forward with excitement as we work collaboratively with WFC to foster high levels of engagement across our respective teams and are thrilled to stand behind the club and players in 2025.”
