All personal information received in connection with the Club products or services, or in the conduct of the Club’s business, is therefore treated seriously, having regard to its legal obligations. Personal information is information that identifies you or could identify you. The Club is subject to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the Australian Privacy Principles. The personal information which the Club collects and holds may include:
- your name, age, billing and/or shipping address, email address, gender,
occupation, and telephone number(s) and AFL/VFL club support; - information about dealings with the Club, including membership history, and

We also may collect additional non-personally identifiable information (for example,
browser version, IP address).
By providing us with personal information, you consent to that information being collected, used, disclosed and stored in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
If you do not give personal information to us, it may affect our ability to provide you with products and/or services.
Where we engage with you multiple times over a short period in relation to the same matter, we may not provide you with a separate notice about privacy each time we engage with you however we will provide you with an opportunity to opt–out of receiving communications about that matter within each of those communications.
Images – Photography and Video
The Club regularly takes video and photographs as it is reasonably necessary for it to carry out its functions and activities, including football events and the promotion of the Club. Video and photographs are ordinarily taken by the Club at functions, and at events including game days
The Club recognises that while the occurrence is rare, in the course of taking photos or video on occasion it may collect personal information as that definition is expressed in the Privacy Act 1988 (the Act) – specifically where a person’s identity (as opposed to the image itself) is clear or can be reasonably worked out from that image. The
Act protects the personal information of both adults and children. While the Club recognises that permission of an individual is not required (under the Act) to take photo or video and therefore collect images of people (unless the image records sensitive information about the person, for example the person’s racial or ethnic origin or religious beliefs), this Policy forms the reasonable steps that the Club takes to make individuals are aware of:
- how they can contact the Club (see below);
- how and when images are taken;
- the reason why images are taken (to carry out the Club’s necessary functions and activities);
- how personal information is shared by the Club (ordinarily on its website and advertising); and
- how they can get access to the images (see below).
The Club will not otherwise use a photo or video that discloses a person’s identity (such that the identity is clear or can be worked out from the image), or a photo or video that discloses a person’s sensitive information, other than in accordance with this Policy without first obtaining that person’s consent.
Opt-Out/Unsubscribe
You can easily unsubscribe at any time you want to our communications by contacting us using the contact details specified in paragraph 11 of this Privacy Policy
or by following the instructions contained in an e-mail
It may take some time to put an opt-out or an unsubscribe in effect, so you may still receive communications from us for several weeks after your request is received. For the avoidance of doubt, by opting–out or unsubscribing yourself from a mailing list of a Club product or service this will ensure your removal from that particular mailing list but will not guarantee your removal from other mailing lists that the Club may store your details in as a result of your engagement with a different service or product.
