Lightfoot joins the Seagulls after stints with the GWV Rebels in the Coates Talent League across 2023 and 2024, as well as four seasons at the Ballarat Swans in the BFNL’s U19 girls competition.
She’s one of four inclusions for the Seagulls ahead of their Round 3 home clash with Geelong, joined by Molly Simpson, Amelia Marino and Robyn Randell.
Simpson has earned a recall after booting 14 goals from 14 games in her debut season with the club last year. Marino returns to the line-up after making her debut in Round 12 of season 2024, overcoming a 15-week rehab period to then feature in three games.
Randell has also been named after being a late withdrawal in Round 2 due to injury, having featured in the season opener.
Omitted from the side are Ella Tyson, Lori Stepnell, Krissy Trang and Zara Guss, who will all line up in local football this weekend. Tyson and Trang remain on the emergency list.
The clash marks Williamstown’s first home game of the 2025 VFLW season, with the Seagulls set to take on the bottom-placed Geelong Cats under lights from 6.15pm.
It’s the second leg of a Saturday double-header at DSV Stadium, with the VFL side to host Southport at 12.05pm.
