Williamstown has made one change for Saturday’s Pride Game against the Bombers.

In what will double up as DSV Family Day and the Club’s Pride Round, experienced utility Chloe Bain returns for her first game of the 2025 season, replacing forward Molly Simpson in a like-for-like swap.

Bain, who missed the opening eight rounds due to a foot injury, made her return to playing form last weekend, lining up at half-back for West Brunswick and helping them secure a tight win over Kew.

The 40-game VFLW player—previously with Box Hill Hawks (14 games), Carlton (13), and Williamstown (13 in 2024 including all three finals)—will join a Seagulls lineup that features a wave of new talent.

This will mark her first game alongside first-year players Zara Guss, Ruby Mahony, Jemima Wrigley, Krystal Russell, Gaby De Angelis, and Georgia Howes.

The game will also see Bain reunited with former Carlton teammate Izzy Khoury, the pair having played together during the 2023 season.

In a boost for Williamstown, Khoury, Russell, and Neve Crowley will all hold their spots after strong returns in Round 8 against Casey.

Molly Simpson has been named among the emergencies, alongside Ella Tyson, Yasmin Welsford, Charli Sette, and Mia Giannopoulos.

Round 9 marks Williamstown’s annual Pride Game, a celebration of diversity and inclusion—promoting a game where everyone feels welcome, safe, and respected.
