Cameron Polson returns to his Seagulls flock for the first time since Round 9 after recovering from a hamstring injury.

He replaces Nick Ebinger, who injured his ankle during last week’s win over Sandringham and is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the month.

“Polson has worked diligently through his rehab period and is ready to resume his on-field co-captaincy this weekend,” General Manager of Football Operations Ash Collins said.

“He’ll add both leadership and experience to our group taking on Port Melbourne.”

Up forward, Brodie McLaughlin will be aiming to extend his lead atop the competition’s goal-kicking tally.

The 27-year-old is coming off a career-best seven-goal performance against the Zebras and continues to be a focal point around the 50-meter arc.

Max Philpot has been named among the emergencies for the first time since suffering a broken ankle in the off-season.

The midfielder has made a return to the VAFA with PEGS, playing the past three weeks and booting two goals.

Saturday’s clash will mark the latest instalment of Heritage Round, an annual fixture celebrating the proud and storied rivalry between Williamstown and Port Melbourne.

It’s also Williamstown’s third double header in a row – but the first to take place away from home.

With plenty happening at ETU Stadium ahead of the 2:05pm first bounce – including a legends match featuring past Williamstown players – fans are encouraged to make the trip across the bridge and be part of a big day of football.

Match Details:

Saturday, July 5th at 2.05pm
DSV Stadium, Williamstown
