Thank you, Noons

Jack Noonan’s time playing VFL football has come to a halt after four years with Williamstown.

A true Seagull at heart, Noonan progressed through the traditional Williamstown pathway, beginning with Williamstown Juniors before moving on to Williamstown CYMS and the Western Jets.

He made his VFL debut in 2022, donning the same colours he grew up in.

Following his contributions to our 2023 finals campaign, he transferred his local football to Deer Park FC in the EDFL Premier Division, where he has since played 17 games across the past two seasons.

Although he did not feature at VFL level in 2024, Noonan returned this year to play through Rounds 1 to 6 and again in Rounds 10 and 11, finishing his Seagulls career with 15 games and 8 goals.

His standout performance came in Brisbane earlier this season, where he collected 20 disposals, 11 kicks and three tackles.

In total, the 26-year-old gave four years of his twenties to Williamstown, embodying commitment, loyalty, and a passion for the club.

Williamstown GM of Football Operations, Ash Collins, thanked Noonan for his service to Williamstown.

“As is Jack’s right, he has chosen to seek new opportunities away from the Williamstown Football Club next year,” Collins said.

“Being at DSV Stadium for four years, Jack was a popular teammate and respected figure at our club.

“On behalf of us all, I’d like to acknowledge Jack’s contribution to Williamstown. His dedication and loyalty never wavered during his time in the blue and gold.

“We wish him all the very best in the next direction he chooses.”
