Their re-signings continue the Seagulls’ retention of defensive talent, following the recent announcements of Finn O’Dwyer and Ned Pendergast.
Bonar, 26, made his Seagull debut last year and has played 19 games for the Club since.
A former AFL-listed Giant and Kangaroo, Bonar featured in just two matches this year – Round 3’s win over Frankston and Round 4’s loss to Coburg – before a quad injury began a run of setbacks that prevented his return to the field.
Despite the challenges, the coaching group remained impressed by his commitment to rehabilitation and his continued support of teammates each week.
Meanwhile, Pritchard enjoyed his best year in blue and gold to date, playing 18 games and claiming the 2025 Bruce Tait Memorial Trophy as the Club’s most improved VFL player.
Part of the side’s close-knit backline, Pritchard’s intercept ability and composure under pressure also saw him finish ninth in the Club’s VFL Best and Fairest with 80 votes.
Having made his VFL debut in 2023, the upcoming season will mark the 23-year-old’s fourth with the Club.
The Seagulls look forward to the continued contributions of both Bonar and Pritchard in 2026, with the pair set to reunite with teammates when pre-season commences later this year.
