In what has already been a strong start to the season for Williamstown’s VFL side, celebrations will continue this week as a committed Seagull reaches a significant club milestone.

Midfielder Jack McHale will run out for his 50th game in Williamstown colours this weekend, marking an important achievement in his VFL journey.
With nearly 100 VFL matches to his name, McHale has spent more than half of his career at Williamstown, becoming a dependable and respected figure within the Seagulls’ midfield group. Since arriving at the Club, he has steadily developed his game and embraced his role within the side, earning the trust of teammates and coaches alike.
After featuring in 14 matches throughout the 2024 season, McHale carried his strong form into 2025, adding a further 18 games to his tally, while also featuring in every match so far in 2026. His consistency highlights not only his dedication to the game, but also his commitment to the Club and those around him. Reaching 50 games in the blue and gold is a testament to McHale’s persistence and growth as a player, reflecting the work he has put in to establish himself at VFL level and the impact he continues to have within the side.
Adding further significance to the milestone, McHale is set to reach his 100th VFL game next week, a remarkable achievement that underlines both his durability and consistency across his career.
The milestone match provides the perfect opportunity for teammates, coaches and supporters to acknowledge McHale’s contribution to the Club so far, with plenty more still to come.
