Williamstown returns to the spotlight this Saturday night as the Club takes on Werribee Football Club in a special ANZAC Day clash at DSV Stadium, with first bounce scheduled for 7:05 PM.
In a match that carries deep significance beyond football, the Seagulls will honour the ANZAC legacy while aiming to continue building early-season momentum on home turf in front of a strong bay-side crowd.
A major milestone headlines the round, with Jack McHale (1) set to celebrate his 100th VFL game. Remarkably, McHale reaches the milestone just one week after bringing up his 50th game for Williamstown in the blue and gold, marking a rapid and well-earned rise as one of the Club’s most consistent performers and leaders on the field.
The night will also see an exciting debut, with Conor Willis named to play his first game for Williamstown. Willis arrives at the Seagulls from Collingwood Football Club’s VFL program, bringing with him strong versatility and development potential.
Originally from Albury, Willis progressed through senior football in the Ovens & Murray Football League between 2022 and 2024, before continuing his journey at Greensborough in the Northern Football Netball League.
His performances earned him a place in Collingwood’s VFL program, and at just 22 years of age, he now joins Williamstown ready to take the next step in his professional career.
Williamstown have also provided an update on their injury list, with a number of players currently managing minor strains. Most are expected to return to play within the next three weeks as part of a controlled reintegration into full training loads.
Meanwhile, Darcy Weeks and Harry Minton-Connell continue their rehabilitation from hamstring injuries. Both remain engaged in full training environments and are progressing positively, with the pair expected to increase their high-speed running loads over the coming week as they move closer to a return to play.
With milestone celebrations, a debutant ready to make his mark, and the added significance of ANZAC Day football, Williamstown heads into Round 5 focused, united, and determined to deliver a strong performance on home soil against Werribee.
