Forward Nathan Colenso is set to run out for his 50th game in Williamstown colours this Saturday, marking a significant achievement in his VFL career.

Since arriving at the Club in 2023 after making his VFL debut with Southport, Colenso has quickly established himself as a high-impact player in the Seagulls’ forward line.

The 24-year-old enjoyed a breakout 2024 campaign, claiming the Club’s Most Improved Player Award after finishing among Williamstown’s leading tacklers and cementing his role as a key pressure forward.

He also enjoyed success at local level, playing a key role in Keilor Football Club’s back-to-back EDFL Premier Division premierships, before delivering a best-on-ground performance in the 2024 grand final to claim the prestigious Reg Rose Medal.

Colenso carried that form into 2025, producing a standout season across 20 games. Averaging 11.6 disposals and kicking 30 goals, his consistent impact was recognised with eight Best Player honours.

His performance across the year was further reflected in the Club Best and Fairest count, where he polled 111 votes to finish among the top five in a tightly contested result, alongside Brodie McLaughlin (114 votes) and Joel Fitzgerald (113).

Now a consistent contributor at VFL level, Colenso’s 50-game milestone reflects both his growth as a player and his importance to the Williamstown lineup.

His ability to apply pressure, hit the scoreboard and compete in crucial moments continues to make him a key figure in the Seagulls’ system.

The milestone match presents a great opportunity for teammates, coaches and supporters to recognise Colenso’s journey so far, with plenty more still ahead.

Supporters are encouraged to get down to DSV Stadium this Saturday, May 9 at 3:05pm as Williamstown takes on Richmond in a crucial clash.
