Following the AFL Mid-Season Draft selections of Hugo Hall-Kahan and Joel Fitzgerald by Melbourne and Adelaide respectively, the Club has moved quickly to strengthen its list with two proven VFL performers.

Wilson arrives at DSV Stadium with an impressive football résumé. The 26-year-old midfielder is a former Richmond VFL player and two-time Best and Fairest winner, renowned for his toughness, work rate and ability to impact games around the contest.

Prior to his VFL career, Wilson enjoyed significant success with Heidelberg, collecting five premierships and establishing himself as one of the premier midfielders outside the AFL system. His relentless attack on the football, tackling pressure and leadership qualities make him a valuable addition to the Seagulls’ midfield group.

Jacobs also joins Williamstown bringing strong VFL experience, having previously played 19 games with Frankston. A versatile, big-bodied utility, Jacobs reunites with Senior Assistant Coach Danny Ryan, who coached him during his time at Frankston.

Capable of playing through multiple lines, Jacobs is expected to add strength and composure to Williamstown’s half-back unit. Jacobs has also enjoyed an outstanding past two seasons with Mt Eliza, earning Team of the Year honours in both 2024 and 2025 while averaging 33 disposals per game last season.

Both players add valuable experience and depth as Williamstown enters the second half of the season and pushes towards finals.

The Club welcomes Lachlan and Ryan to the Seagulls and looks forward to seeing them in blue and gold.
