After arriving at DSV Stadium ahead of the 2026 campaign, Preuss quickly established himself as one of the competition’s premier ruckmen, providing Williamstown with a dominant presence at stoppages and around the ground.

The former AFL player has featured in 10 matches this season, averaging 23.8 hitouts per game while consistently giving the Seagulls first use through the midfield. His best performance came in Round 1 against Frankston, where he amassed a season-high 43 hitouts in a commanding display.

Preuss joined Williamstown after an AFL career spanning three clubs.

The 206cm ruckman began at North Melbourne, spending four seasons behind All-Australian Todd Goldstein before making his AFL debut. He later moved to Melbourne, where he continued his development under premiership captain Max Gawn, before finishing his AFL journey with GWS.

After stepping away from the elite system in 2025 to rediscover his love of football, Preuss arrived at Williamstown bringing invaluable experience and leadership to the playing group.

His commitment for another season provides stability to the Seagulls’ ruck division as the Club continues building towards sustained success.

Williamstown Football Club looks forward to seeing Braydon continue to make his mark in blue and gold throughout the 2027 season.
