The Williamstown Football Club wishes to announce that Senior Men’s Coach, Justin Plapp, will conclude his contractual term with the Club at the completion of the 2026 VFL season.
Justin concludes an outstanding six seasons as Senior Coach, leading the Club in more than 100 matches and making a significant contribution both on and off the field.
Throughout his time at Williamstown, Justin has earned the admiration and respect of players, staff, volunteers, members and sponsors through his passion for the Club, commitment to professional standards and unwavering team-first approach.
Club President Merryl Dooley said:
“Justin’s contribution over the past six seasons has been exceptional. He has helped shape our football program, developed players and built a high performing culture that reflects many of the values our Club holds close to our hearts.”

The Board acknowledged the significant role Justin has played in strengthening the Williamstown Football Club over an extended period and thanked him for his dedication, commitment and service.
The Williamstown Football Club will commence a thorough process to appoint its Senior Men’s Coach for the 2027 VFL season at the conclusion of the current campaign.
The Williamstown Football Club asks its members, supporters, sponsors and the wider Williamstown community to continue their outstanding support of Justin, the coaching staff and playing group as they pursue success throughout the remainder of the 2026 season, which will conclude with a celebration at the Club’s awards night on 2 October 2026 to acknowledge Justin’s contributions and leadership of the men’s playing group over the past 6 years.
