The 28-year-old has spent his entire VFL career in the blue and gold, with 98 games to his name heading into the 2027 season.

Having first pulled on the Williamstown guernsey more than a decade ago, Philpot has established himself as one of the club’s most reliable and hard-working midfielders, consistently bringing pressure, competitiveness and determination around the contest.

Philpot enjoyed a strong 2026 campaign, featuring in every home-and-away game, played in both finals appearances and averaged 12.7 disposals while contributing six goals.

He saved one of his best performances for the Seagulls’ Wildcard Final victory over Carlton, collecting a season-best 21 disposals, six marks and a goal to help Williamstown progress through the finals.

After overcoming an ankle injury that interrupted his 2025 season, Philpot’s ability to return and produce a consistent campaign was another testament to his resilience and commitment to his football.

His 100th VFL game will cap a remarkable Williamstown journey that has seen him become a familiar and respected figure within the Seagulls program.

Philpot will don the number 19 once again in 2027, with just two games standing between him and joining the exclusive 100-game club at Williamstown. What an achievement!
