Since arriving from the Western Jets in 2014, Greiser has become one of the club’s most respected figures, building a legacy defined by consistency, leadership and an unwavering commitment to the Seagulls.
A Life Member since 2023 and recipient of the 2024 Club 1864 Award, Greiser has continued to prove himself as one of the competition’s most reliable ball users, with his 2026 campaign showing no signs of slowing down.
The number 18 enjoyed another outstanding season across half-back, featuring in 18 matches and averaging an impressive 28.9 disposals, 23.7 kicks and 7.1 marks per game, while also contributing five goals.
His standout performance came in Round 15 against the reigning premiers, Footscray Bulldogs, where he amassed 37 disposals, 31 kicks, 11 marks and three tackles in a dominant display.
Greiser’s consistency was further recognised at the club’s 2026 Presentation Night, where he finished third in the VFL Best and Fairest count, taking home the Cec Page Memorial Trophy. The result adds to his impressive list of individual honours and highlights his continued influence on the field.
Greiser’s ability to consistently find the football, control play from defence and provide leadership to those around him remains invaluable to the Seagulls’ playing group.
With 173 senior VFL games to his name, all in the blue and gold, Greiser’s commitment to Williamstown extends well beyond his on-field performances. His experience, professionalism and connection to the club continue to make him an integral part of the football program.
With 13 seasons already behind him, Greiser’s decision to go around again is a testament to his enduring passion for the game and the club he has proudly represented throughout his entire VFL career.
Fourteen seasons, one club and no signs of slowing down. Greiser’s journey in the blue and gold is far from over as the Seagulls look ahead to 2027.
