Accelerated Football Program
Williamstown Football Club delivers its Accelerated Football Program to support student development both on and off the field through structured, inclusive football initiatives delivered in schools.
Originally launched in partnership with Williamstown High School, the program has since expanded to Bayside College (Williamstown Campus), delivering weekly sessions to Year 7–9 boys and girls throughout the school year. Sessions are run by qualified Williamstown FC footballers and focus on developing football skills, leadership, teamwork and confidence.
The program also operates at a primary school level through the Club’s Seagull Sessions, a free schools-based initiative delivered during PE classes and primarily targeted at Grades 3 to 6.
More than 1,100 primary school students have participated in Seagull Sessions, made possible through the ongoing support of Port of Melbourne. The sessions are designed to be inclusive and accessible, catering to all abilities — from students new to football to those already playing in junior competitions.
Led by Williamstown FC Community Coordinator Thomas McCormick and supported by Community Interns, Seagull Sessions focus on building fundamental football skills while promoting personal development, confidence and positive participation.

Other schools
Williamstown Football Club works closely with schools across Hobsons Bay and surrounding areas to promote participation, inclusion and community connection through football.
The Club has been a major supporter of Williamstown Primary School, delivering player visits, school-based clinics and involvement in school football days, as well as proudly supporting the community as a Platinum Sponsor of the Williamstown Primary School Seaside Fair.

Williamstown FC also maintains a strong, long-standing partnership with Williamstown North Primary School, supporting the school through infrastructure contributions such as goalposts, regular involvement in annual school fetes, player appearances and visits from mascot Speccie, creating engaging and memorable experiences for students.

Across the broader region, Williamstown Football Club has delivered clinics at more than ten local primary schools, reaching thousands of students through inclusive football programs. The Club also supports football-themed school days through player visits, clinics, prizes and giveaways, and promotes these initiatives through its social media channels and weekly newsletters.
Through these partnerships, Williamstown Football Club continues to strengthen its connection with local schools while encouraging young people to be active, confident and involved in their community.
