Meet the hidden heroes behind the scenes of every thrilling VFL match: the scoreboard operators, Craig and Jeremy Blair.
Since the 2021 season, this dedicated father and son duo has been meticulously keeping track of the action on our home ground, ensuring the crowd stay up to date with every goal and point. But their journey with the game goes back even further, as they were an integral part of the match day statistics team from 2011 to 2020.
Craig’s passion for the sport was ignited years ago, with a love for Williamstown driving their involvement. From spectating to volunteering, they’ve become an indispensable part of the club’s game day operations. Under the guidance of mentors Kathy Sheahan, Ian “Trainy” Cashill, and Andy Dandridge, they honed their skills and rose to the challenge. And their crowning moment? Working in the box alongside the coaches during our last premiership win against fellow stand-alone club Box Hill in 2015.
