Hamilton trades Red for Blue and Gold

November 10, 2025
Williamstown has strengthened its 2026 roster, securing the signature of versatile former Bullants midfielder-defender Josh Hamilton.

At just 21-years-old, Hamilton arrives at DSV Stadium following a strong 2025 season with the Bullants, where he played 17 matches and averaged 19 disposals per game.

In Round 9 against Coburg, Hamilton had a season-best with 30 disposals and 21 kicks, showcasing his ability to win the ball and set up play from both midfield and half-back.

Hamilton — a former Vic Metro Under-16s representative — continued his development with North Melbourne’s VFL program in 2023 before heading to the Bullants in early 2024.

Standing at 180cm, Hamilton’s arrival is an exciting addition to Williamstown’s strong 2026 squad, according to Williamstown’s GM of Operations Ash Collins.

“Josh is a quality young player and person with a strong work ethic,” Collins said.

“He’s shown he can perform impressively at VFL level and brings versatility that will really complement our midfield and defensive units.”

Supporters can look forward to seeing Hamilton pull on the blue and gold in 2026.
