Williamstown resident Jenny Fitzgerald has generously donated a 1915 WFC membership badge, along with another Williamstown Football Club badge from the same period, which were previously owned by her grandfather, Robert Edward Gerring.
A lifelong Williamstown supporter and local resident, Robert was a passionate follower of the Club, with the badges serving as a valuable connection to the Seagulls’ history during the early years of the Club.
The 1915 membership badge holds particular historical significance, representing the final season before the VFA went into recess due to World War I.
The Williamstown Football Club extends its sincere thanks to Jenny Fitzgerald and the Gerring family for their generous donation and for helping preserve and share these important pieces of the Club’s rich history.
