Williamstown has secured the services of experienced defender Harry Minton-Connell and emerging forward Diesel Moloney, with both players committing to the Seagulls for the 2027 VFL season.

Minton-Connell, 25, will enter his fourth season in blue and gold after joining Williamstown ahead of the 2024 season. The 182cm defender has already played 44 games for the Seagulls, establishing himself as a reliable member of the defensive group and becoming an important part of the Club’s VFL program.
After featuring in 20 games during the 2025 season, Minton-Connell’s 2026 campaign was unfortunately interrupted by injury, limiting him to just eight appearances. Despite the setback, the defender remains an important part of Williamstown’s future, with his experience and consistency set to be valuable as he looks towards a full return in 2027.
Minton-Connell will also have a significant personal milestone in his sights next season, requiring just six more games to reach 50 appearances for Williamstown.
Joining him in recommitting is 21-year-old forward Diesel Moloney, who enjoyed a breakout first campaign with the Seagulls after crossing from Footscray VFL ahead of the 2026 season.
The 180cm forward made his Williamstown debut in Round 2 against Carlton and has gone on to feature in 19 games, quickly establishing himself as a dangerous option inside 50. Moloney has booted 18 goals throughout his debut season, including a standout four-goal performance against Essendon in Round 6.
His competitiveness, forward pressure and ability to hit the scoreboard have made him a valuable addition to the Seagulls’ attacking group, with Moloney now looking to build on a promising first season at VFL level.
The combination of Minton-Connell’s experience and Moloney’s emerging presence adds further depth to the Seagulls’ list, with both players offering different qualities as the Seagulls continue to shape their 2027 VFL list.
Harry and Diesel join a growing group of Seagulls locked in for next year, as Williamstown continues its preparations for another VFL campaign.
