This week marks National Volunteer Week (May 18–24, 2026), Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering.

The 2026 theme, Your Year to Volunteer, not only recognises the incredible contributions of volunteers across the country, but also encourages more people to get involved, give back and make a meaningful difference within their communities.

At Williamstown Football Club, we proudly celebrate the fantastic volunteers who are the heart and soul of our club.

From game day support to behind-the-scenes operations, our volunteer program remains one of the most extensive across the VFL and VFLW competitions.

We rely on a passionate team across a wide variety of roles, including:

  • BBQ Attendants
  • Football Operations Assistants
  • Gate Entry Attendants
  • Membership Sales
  • Scoreboard Attendants
  • Ticket Box Attendants
  • Raffle Ticket Sales
  • Merchandise Sales
  • Timekeepers
  • Photographers

Beyond these roles, we also acknowledge the efforts of our administrative and high-performance interns, along with our dedicated Club directors. Each of these individuals generously contributes their time, energy and skills to help our club continue to grow and succeed.

Our volunteers are the lifeblood of Williamstown FC, helping create a welcoming, professional and community-focused environment for players, members and supporters alike. Their dedication and club spirit continue to uphold the proud traditions of the Seagulls both on and off the field.

As we celebrate National Volunteer Week 2026, we encourage everyone in the Seagulls community to take a moment to thank the volunteers around them — or even consider getting involved themselves. There truly is a role for everyone, and this could be Your Year to Volunteer.

To all our volunteers, thank you. Williamstown Football Club would not be what it is without you.
