Headlining the Club’s primary list additions is former Australian Rugby 7s representative Georgia Smith, who transitions into the blue and gold following an impressive start to her football journey.
After playing 11 QAFLW games and representing South Queensland in 2024, Smith brings elite athleticism, strong leadership and powerful run to the Seagulls’ midfield group.
Joining her is premiership-winning midfielder-forward Sophia Rothfield, fresh off a standout season with Old Geelong.
Rothfield played a pivotal role in the club’s historic 2024 Premier B premiership campaign, famously kicking a match-winning goal in the Grand Final to cement her reputation as a game-changing talent.
The Seagulls have also secured the signature of experienced VFLW player Dalia Edward.
Edward brings valuable experience to the Club, having previously represented both North Melbourne VFLW and Richmond VFLW, while also spending time with St Kevin’s. Her composure and understanding of the VFLW level will provide another important addition to Williamstown’s growing list.
Adding further excitement is former Geelong VFLW and Geelong Falcons talent Elise Vella.
A 50-game player for St Mary’s in 2025, Vella’s versatility and experience across elite pathways, including Vic Country representation, make her another valuable inclusion for the Seagulls.
The Club is also pleased to welcome four exciting players onto its development list, with Ellen Williams, Taelah Smith, Adalita Pizzinga and Jess Court all joining the program for 2026.
These additions continue to strengthen Williamstown’s VFLW program as the Club builds towards an exciting 2026 campaign, with a strong blend of experienced talent, emerging players and proven competitors ready to make their mark in the blue and gold.
The Seagulls kick off their campaign at Deakin University this Saturday against Geelong, don’t miss their first hit-out for 2026.
