Williamstown has secured the services of defender Zac Pritchard and emerging midfield and forward duo Tom Fry and Max Stobie, with all three players committing to the Seagulls for the 2027 VFL season.

Pritchard will return for his fifth season in blue and gold, continuing to provide experience and composure to the Seagulls’ defensive group. Standing at 190cm, the key defender has played 37 games for Williamstown, including 18 appearances in 2025 and a further 11 games during the 2026 season.
Pritchard has consistently proven himself as a difficult opponent, using his size, athleticism and confidence to apply pressure and compete against players of all shapes and sizes. His ability to read the game and take possession from his opponents has made him a reliable presence in the backline, with the 24-year-old now set to continue his development and leadership within the defensive group.
Joining Pritchard in recommitting is 20-year-old midfielder Tom Fry, who will enter his second season with the Seagulls after making the move from Queensland ahead of the 2026 campaign. The 182cm midfielder made eight appearances for Williamstown in his debut VFL season, gaining valuable experience as he continued his transition into VFL football.
An excellent inside midfielder, Fry brings energy and competitiveness around the contest, with his development providing the Seagulls with further depth through the midfield. Prior to joining Williamstown, Fry also featured at local level with Bundoora Seniors, where he played 11 games and finished the season with five goals. At just 20 years of age, Fry will be looking to build on his first season at DSV Stadium and take another step forward in 2027.
Also returning is 20-year-old forward Max Stobie, who has continued to develop since joining Williamstown’s development squad in 2025. The 181cm forward made his VFL debut in 2026, making six appearances for the Seagulls while continuing to gain valuable senior experience at local level with Maffra Seniors in the Gippsland League.
Stobie featured in 13 games for Maffra this season, finding the goals on 10 occasions and showcasing the attacking ability that has made him an exciting young prospect within the Williamstown program. After initially training with the Club’s development squad, Stobie has emerged as a talented young athlete and will now look to build on his first taste of VFL football.
The combination of Pritchard’s experience and the emerging talent of Fry and Stobie adds further depth across the Seagulls’ defensive, midfield and forward groups as Williamstown continues to shape its 2027 VFL list.
