Accelerated Football Program

In 2021 the Williamstown Football Club is continuing to run its Accelerated Football Program. The club initially started the program in 2016 with Williamstown High School and now have expanded the program out to Bayside College (Williamstown Campus) with programs to Year 7-9 for both Boys and Girls students. The Accelerated program runs weekly throughout the school year by qualified Williamstown FC footballers. This program teaches the students key skills on and off the field that they can use to improve their football knowledge and leadership skills. In 2021, VFLW premiership-winning coach Penny Cula-Reid will join Club Community Manager Andy Dandridge and several VFL and VFLW players in delivering the program at the brand new, recently developed Bayside College Williamstown campus ovals.

Westbourne Grammar School Williamstown

Williamstown Football Club has joined with Westbourne Grammar School in the past couple of years with the club doing pre-season training at Westbourne Grammar the last two years. Williamstown Football Club also held the Geoffrey Ryan Cup game at Williamstown Football Ground this season which Westbourne Grammar won against St Mary’s.

Williamstown Primary School

Williamstown Football Club has been a major supporter of Williamstown Primary School, not only with player visits to help run clinics and be a part of their footy days, but also as a Platinum Sponsor of the Williamstown Primary School Seaside Fair. The club also ran several weekly clinics in 2018.

Williamstown North Primary School

Williamstown Football Club is proud to continue it’s strong partnership with Williamstown North Primary School. In 2015 the club purchased new goalposts for the school grounds, and has also been a part of the school’s annual fete with activities for kids, player appearances as well as mascot, ‘Speccie’.

Other Primary Schools

In 2018 Williamstown Football Club attended and ran multiple clinics at over ten HBCC schools, reaching a total of close to 10,000 students in the area. We also promote these visits through our social media and in the weekly newsletters. Williamstown Football Club has also supported multiple Football themed days at Primary Schools in the area in the way of Player Visits, Clinics, Prizes and Give Aways.
